Your Two Jobs Calculator Results

Important note – Your first job will be applied with the standard tax code of 1257L, meaning you will be entitled to a personal allowance. Your secondary job will automatically be applied a BR, D0 or D1 tax code, meaning your calculation on your second job will not have the tax-free allowance applied. Your results will be calculated for the tax year 2023/2024.

What Does My Tax Code Mean?

You can apply to have your personal allowance split between your main job and a second job, you can read more on the GOV.UK website.

If you earn more than £12,570 per year with your main job then your calculation will be correct. If you earn less than £12,570 with your main job the results may be incorrect. If you contact HMRC you can have your personal allowance split between both jobs as long as you earn less than the personal allowance.

Important note – Our second job calculator will not include student loan or pension contributions, If you self-employed you may need to do two seperate calculation to work out the amount of tax you will pay on both jobs.
